Invisible Studio

East Quay in Watchet, designed by Invisible Studio Led by Piers Taylor with delivery by Ellis Williams Architects, is a bold and socially charged work of contemporary coastal architecture. Completed in 2021 on the site of a redundant boatyard at the harbour’s edge, the project reimagines the civic potential of a small seaside town through culture, craft and community enterprise.

Commissioned by the not-for-profit development trust Onion Collective, the building is less an arts centre in the conventional sense and more an act of architectural activism, regeneration shaped from within the community itself.
